Application Overview

StillMotion

A private, contemplative practice app that turns written reflections into an ongoing map of your inner life, mirrored through mindfulness, authenticity, and depth-psychology lenses, then returns one small daily practice.

StillMotion is a mirror that remembers: you write what is happening, it reflects the pattern back through several traditions at once, the archive becomes a map, and each day it hands you one small practice to meet the edge you keep encountering.

In one paragraph

StillMotion is a single-user web app for people who want journaling to actually go somewhere. You write short entries about what is happening in your life; the app reads each one through complementary lenses at once and returns a structured reflection. Every entry is kept in a private, searchable archive, and once there is enough material the app reads the whole archive together and hands you one small daily practice tuned to the pattern you keep carrying.

What StillMotion is

StillMotion is a personal reflection companion. You write a short entry about what is actually happening in your life: a situation, a conversation, a body sensation, or a recurring pattern. Instead of a single opinion, you get a multi-perspective mirror.

Mindfulness traditions describe what the mind is doing right now. Authenticity frameworks ask whether outer behavior matches inner values. Depth psychology surfaces shadow material, projections, and inherited scripts underneath. Over time, the archive itself becomes a diagnostic instrument for noticing the pattern you keep carrying.

Design principles

Who it is for

StillMotion is for people who already keep a journal and want more than a blank page; therapy clients who want a structured between-sessions companion; meditators who want practice connected to daily life; leaders and creatives working on authenticity and emotional range; and anyone navigating a transition who wants a private reflective structure to hold it.

The lenses StillMotion reads through

Every reflection is analysed through a fixed set of complementary perspectives. Each lens is short, non-clinical, and tied back to the text you actually wrote.

Mindfulness

Names attention, aversion, craving, judging, identification, and where the experience lives in the body.

Authenticity

Asks whether outer behavior matched inner values and points to the practice that would have closed the gap.

Depth psychology

Reads for shadow material, projection, archetypal patterns, defense mechanisms, and inherited scripts.

Emotional geography

Identifies emotions, people, contexts, and repeated clusters so patterns become visible across the archive.

The daily loop

1. Reflect

You open Reflect and write a short entry. A paragraph is enough. The app runs the multi-lens analysis and returns a structured report: what happened, what the mind was doing, the authenticity gap, the shadow reading, the emotional signature, map coordinates, and a one-line invitation for the day.

2. Reflect Archive

Every entry is filed in the Reflect Archive: a chronological, filterable list of everything you have written, with the report attached to each card. This is where repetition becomes visible: the same person, body location, context, or authenticity gap showing up week after week.

3. Daily Practice

Once there is enough material in the archive, Daily Practice reads the whole archive at once and distills the pattern you keep carrying. It then prescribes a single small practice for the day with an intention, body anchor, duration, time-of-day suggestion, numbered steps, and closing line.

4. Insights and supporting rooms

StillMotion includes focused rooms for Breath, Meditation, Inquiry, Self Love, Authenticity, Teachings, Coach, Journal, and Insights. Together they connect reflection, practice, and longitudinal pattern awareness.
